This is for converting an IP-address to its hexadecimal-decimal equivalent. This number is still a
valid IP-address and can be used in the url (try http://1089058659)
$ip='64.233.183.99'; // some Google-ip, probably works
$a = explode('.', $ip);
for ($i=0;$i<4;$i++) $a[$i]=str_pad(dechex($a[$i]),2,'0');
$ip_dword=hexdec(implode('',$a));
echo $ip_dword; // In this case: 1089058659
