You are wrong. In you example you've changed the value of $_GET variable and since $_REQESTS
does not reference to $_GET, $_POST and $_COOKIES it did not change along with $_GET. Your example
is the same as this:
$a = 1;
$b = $a;
$a = 2;
echo $a." : ".$b;
