NOTE: This is not proper way to do things in gentoo, when you update your system, USE flags you used
will reset and gentoo tries to compile php with default flags. Better way would be to use
package.use:
echo 'dev-lang/php -* curl mysql gd' >> /etc/portage/package.use
echo 'dev-lang/mod_php -* curl mysql gd' >> /etc/portage/package.use
