Certain letters used in the function (such as t or n) will turn into special characters when backslashed, so you won't be able to use them. For example, date("F j, Y [backslash]a[backslash]t g:i A") will give you "January 24, 2006 a[tab] 1:52 PM", but if you do not backslash "t", you will get "January 24, 2006 a31 1:52 PM", since t represents number of days in the current month. The only workaround is typing 'echo date("F j, Y") . " at " . date("g:i A");' ---- Server IP: 216.194.113.175 Probable Submitter: 24.46.197.154 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.mktime.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+61066 Delete: added to the manual -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+61066&report=yes&reason=added+to+the+manual Delete: bad code -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+61066&report=yes&reason=bad+code Delete: spam -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+61066&report=yes&reason=spam Delete: useless -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+61066&report=yes&reason=useless Delete: non-english -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+61066&report=yes&reason=non-english Delete: already in docs -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+61066&report=yes&reason=already+in+docs Delete: other reasons -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+61066&report=yes Reject -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+61066&report=yes Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
