I've a strange problem. I tried to compare string in the same order oracle does. The strange thing is: strcmp('ACQUE_SOTTERRANEE','ACQUE_SOTT_ORAC') //result is -1 strcasecmp('ACQUE_SOTTERRANEE','ACQUE_SOTT_ORAC') //result is 6 I'm surprised for the opposite result! The correct order (oracle ascending order) is: 1- ACQUE_SOTTERRANEE 2- ACQUE_SOTT_ORAC ---- Server IP: 80.241.173.254 Probable Submitter: 213.26.70.92 (proxied: 192.168.30.167) ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.strcmp.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+61923 Delete: added to the manual -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+61923&report=yes&reason=added+to+the+manual Delete: bad code -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+61923&report=yes&reason=bad+code Delete: spam -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+61923&report=yes&reason=spam Delete: useless -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+61923&report=yes&reason=useless Delete: non-english -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+61923&report=yes&reason=non-english Delete: already in docs -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+61923&report=yes&reason=already+in+docs Delete: other reasons -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+61923&report=yes Reject -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+61923&report=yes Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
