There does not appear to be an "msdev" command in Microsoft Visual C++ .NET, but I
was able to build resolv.lib using the following steps: 1.
"devenv bindlib.dsp" to start the GUI. When prompted, let it convert the
project. 2. Exit the GUI and let it save the new
bindlib.sln. 3. "devenv bindlib.sln /build
Release" to build Release/resolv.lib. I have not used
Visual C++ regularly in several years, so there might be a simpler way to accomplish this. The
remainder of the instructions given above worked fine for building the PHP 5.1.2 source with Visual
C++ .NET.
