Hi, I've just begun using php and have a need in logging via the syslog functionality in Linux. Although these questions might seem a little basic .....I'd appreciate any help that you can throw my way :) 1. Which is the preffered method to log into syslog. Via calls from error_log() or php's syslog() functionality ? 2. How do I define the facilities that I need to log with using error_log() ? (LOCAL ), *.info and such) Thanx.. ---- Server IP: 64.71.164.2 Probable Submitter: 61.14.20.7 ---- X-Spam-Status: No, hits=3.1 required=5.0 tests=DATE_MISSING,FROM_NO_LOWER autolearn=no version=2.64 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.error-log.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/note/edit/62461 Del: integrated -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/62461/integrated Del: useless -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/62461/useless Del: bad code -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/62461/bad+code Del: spam -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/62461/spam Del: non-english -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/62461/non-english Del: in docs -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/62461/in+docs Del: other reasons-- http://master.php.net/note/delete/62461 Reject -- http://master.php.net/note/reject/62461 Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
