Note Submitter: vicki.farmer at noaa.gov ---- I am also not having any success with any of the scripts. getimagesize($file) works just fine, but imagecreatefromjpeg($file) does not. The difference, I think, between these two functions is the use of the gd library, yes? getimagesize() doesn't require it, but imagecreatefromjpeg() does. I know that the version of PHP that I'm working from was compiled with gd (I checked with the sysadmin) -- I also have the question of whether there needs to be some setting in php.ini. Does anyone have a suggestion?
