note 62632 added to function.mysqli-select-db

i thought it strange that i arrived at this page, and i wanted to make comment FOR ANYONE WHO IS UNAWARE previously of the @mysql directive, they should NOT be confused by this-- that @mysql_select_db is in fact certainly NOT the same as mysqli_select_db . please read on... it's great to see that there are new PHP functions to support the improvements of MySQL. However, i landed on this page by accident while searching for @mysql_select_db (using the PHP.net search.functions box while in Opera 8.52). to the best of my knowledge, using the (at) symbol @ or &at; will suppress mysql errors so that a PHP script may continue if possible, but i wanted to reference this directive for clarification, but experienced difficulty finding what i was looking for. if any other users arrive here while searching for mysql_select_db prepended with the "at" symbol, i advise you to keep searching, to also reference mysql.com or to google it as well. at the least, please verify the spelling of your search term vs that definition which you find. thanks!
