You will need to make libpx before installing the paradox extension in order to find the libpx include files. The paradox extension has been moved to PECL. Use... pecl install paradox ...to get this extension installed. This should create... /usr/local/lib/php/20050922/paradox.so The extension-dir in php.ini was set to /usr/lib/php/modules. I put a link in this directory to the actual paradox.so file. Despite documentation suggesting the php.ini did not need changing, I found it necessary to add... extension=paradox.so ...to my php.ini.
