Note that fgetcsv() uses the system locale setting to make assumptions about character encoding. So if you are trying to process a UTF-8 CSV file on an EUC-JP server (for example), you will need to do something like this before you call fgetcsv(): setlocale(LC_ALL, 'ja_JP.UTF8'); [Also not that setlocale() doesn't *permanently* affect the system locale setting] ---- Server IP: 210.138.109.182 Probable Submitter: 210.196.222.88 ---- X-Spam-Status: No, hits=3.1 required=5.0 tests=DATE_MISSING,FROM_NO_LOWER autolearn=no version=2.64 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.fgetcsv.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/note/edit/62759 Del: integrated -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/62759/integrated Del: useless -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/62759/useless Del: bad code -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/62759/bad+code Del: spam -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/62759/spam Del: non-english -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/62759/non-english Del: in docs -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/62759/in+docs Del: other reasons-- http://master.php.net/note/delete/62759 Reject -- http://master.php.net/note/reject/62759 Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
