While playing with php I found a strange thing. It can't be considered a bug but you must think
of it if you need a script that will output to the users browser an URL formatted string (eg: http
://example.com/index.php?var=value&var2=value2 )
My script was dealing with some products and it's output had the following syntax: http
://xxxxxxx/?name=$name&prod=$prod
While trying to view the output in the browser to see if it worked, I noticed a strange character.
It was the Product character (the Capital PI) because the browser rendered &prod as the product
character code. This ain't a problem for me since the output will be read by another program
and not by a browser, but for someone that deals with this kind of things they might want to use
some unique identifiers that will exculde the posibility of a "missunderstanding" from the
browser side
