Note Submitter: ---- The XML handling in PHP is most stupid thing in the world. They can`t just made native DOM parser, we must create one using that stupid XML walking functions that have no flexibility, are irritating and just stupid. Dear PHP team, we DON'T need whole lib just to print out every tag in XML doc. We need something that will give us powerfull tool to easly manipulate, seek and USE of XML data. Look on the other languages, just for example let it be Macromedia ActionScript - programmer is giving as input url to XML file and as output he gets cool object that lets him to jump from tag-to-tag, read it's attributes, change it and seek in all doc tree. But no, in PHP we have powerfull... tag printer. With stupid startElement/endElement functions - using of it is cause of headache not tool for effective and fast work. I had hope, that in PHP 5 which was so-called object oriented, we`ll get (at last) new XML handling - handling that will let us work with XML as OBJECT. To print out every tag and do something that depends on current tag's type, we can use regexp or even simple array created by split function. So please, give us tool that will let really work with XML, not just play with it!
