Re: 18-Feb-2006 11:41 Special characters like \r and \n are only parsed as carriage-return and line-feed/newline when enclosed in double-quotes. See table 11-1 on http://www.php.net/manual/en/language.types.string.php for more details. When you use single quotes, it treats everything inside the single quotes literally.
