If you have the problem that your apache-webserver crashes with a segmentation fault, check for a preg_match where the "subject"-string is empty. On my installations (WinXP+PHP 5.1.2 and Linux+PHP 5.1.3CVS Snapshot) there was no notification that there is a problem with the preg_match, only the segmentation fault. This took me a lot of time to find out that an empty variable passed to the preg_match caused this segfault. Hope this helps you if you have this problem, too.
