file: /var/www/index.php requires /var/www/includes/header.php this code works: if(file_exists("includes/themes/".THEME_NAME."/header.php")) { require("themes/".THEME_NAME."/header.php"); } It "requires" the file successfully. Can anyone tell me why the "file_exists" function doesn't work from the working directory ("/var/www/includes/") and will only work from the directory calling the script? this is very, very annoying but maybe I'm missing some kind of underlying functionality... ---- Server IP: 216.194.113.175 Probable Submitter: 24.255.246.56 ---- X-Spam-Status: No, hits=3.1 required=5.0 tests=DATE_MISSING,FROM_NO_LOWER autolearn=no version=2.64 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.require.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/note/edit/63603 Del: integrated -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/63603/integrated Del: useless -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/63603/useless Del: bad code -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/63603/bad+code Del: spam -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/63603/spam Del: non-english -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/63603/non-english Del: in docs -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/63603/in+docs Del: other reasons-- http://master.php.net/note/delete/63603 Reject -- http://master.php.net/note/reject/63603 Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
