|| die ("can't connect: " . imap_last_error());
causes a warning on my host.
if I change it to
$mbox = imap_open ("{your.imap.host}", "username", "password",
OP_HALFOPEN)
or die ("can't connect: " . imap_last_error());
it works fine.
