(This might be an amateur mistake but...) I think it is worth noting that the first option listed for the optional 'format' parameter: 0 - returns the number of words found is misleading, this works: <?php $a = str_word_count($string); ?> (returns the integer word count) this doesn't: <?php $a = str_word_count($string, 0); ?> (returns an error) Found this on PHP v4.4.1, hope this hasn't been posted. ---- Server IP: 64.71.164.2 Probable Submitter: 69.123.44.115 ---- X-Spam-Status: No, hits=3.1 required=5.0 tests=DATE_MISSING,FROM_NO_LOWER autolearn=no version=2.64 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.str-word-count.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/note/edit/64296 Del: integrated -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/64296/integrated Del: useless -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/64296/useless Del: bad code -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/64296/bad+code Del: spam -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/64296/spam Del: non-english -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/64296/non-english Del: in docs -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/64296/in+docs Del: other reasons-- http://master.php.net/note/delete/64296 Reject -- http://master.php.net/note/reject/64296 Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
