There is apparently an undocumented object version of this, as follows:
if ($this->connect_errno)
{
if ($ThrowExceptions) throw new Exception(mysqli_connect_error(), mysqli_connect_errno());
}
I found this code in a wrapper class written by someone who pored through the source code.
