This hasn't been mentioned, but it appears that PHP opening and closing tags are required to be part of the code snippet. <?php highlight_string("<? \$var = 15; ?>"); ?> works, while <?php highlight_string("\$var = 15;"); ?> does not. This is unforunate for those of use who want to show tiny code snippets, but there you go. Earlier versions of this function did not have this requirement, if I remember correctly. ---- Server IP: 85.116.0.130 Probable Submitter: 158.143.173.19 ---- X-Spam-Status: No, hits=3.1 required=5.0 tests=DATE_MISSING,FROM_NO_LOWER autolearn=no version=2.64 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.highlight-string.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/note/edit/64715 Del: integrated -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/64715/integrated Del: useless -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/64715/useless Del: bad code -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/64715/bad+code Del: spam -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/64715/spam Del: non-english -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/64715/non-english Del: in docs -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/64715/in+docs Del: other reasons-- http://master.php.net/note/delete/64715 Reject -- http://master.php.net/note/reject/64715 Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
