it's worth adding some basic HTML before and after your test scripts as it helps pickup syntax
errors. for example
<html>
<head><title>test page</tile></head>
<body>
<?php echo "hello world"; ?>
</body>
</html>
will give a blank page (note the error in closing "title" tag). think this is in the FAQ
as white screen of death hopefully useful here too.
