Note Submitter: foxyshadis at hotmail dot com ---- Naive benchmarks probably won't show much difference because all you're doing is hitting the L1 cache over and over. It would take a large array constantly being flushed out of cache by some intermediate code & data to see something similar to the effects of the function in a real environment.
