I currently installed Apache and PHP according to:
http://www.php.net/manual/en/install.unix.apache2.php
and I have also installed Mysql 5.0.21, all of which came from tarballs.
During the process of the make install for php, i got the warning:
libtool: install: warning: remember to run `libtool --finish /stuff/php-5.1.2/libs'
chmod 755 /usr/local/apache2/modules/libphp5.so .
Which I did, however, the problem lies when I try to start Apache via apachectl start, i get the
following error:
httpd: Syntax error on line 53 of /usr/local/apache2/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load
/usr/local/apache2/modules/libphp5.so into server: /usr/local/apache2/modules/libphp5.so: undefined
symbol: php_addslashes .
Currently if I comment the line loading php5, everything starts up normally, but that defeats the
purpose of installing php.
I am currently using fedora core 4.
