I'm using and ODBC datasource (MS Access driver) with PHP4 on Windows 98 an it works fine. I
didn't notice the note,
"Note: There is no ODBC involved when connecting to the above databases... blah blah..."
until I'd finished most of a simple "query" page. I'd thought that since the
note said these functions had nothing to do with ODBC, what I'd written would not work.
I decided to go ahead and try it anyway and it does work, and (of course) I'm glad it does, but
I'm confused about what the "NOTE" means.
I guess I'm just looking for some clarification: Do these functions work with ODBC on Windows
systems only? Is the note just a holdover from a previous version? Or, is MS Access on Windows just
an additional DBMS that's not listed (as refered to in the note, "the Above
Databases")?
