GD+Freetype. It's a nightmare.
I can't believe there aren't more posts her regarding the horrible messes my associates
and I have run into with libgd & ext/gd conflicts. I can't seem to satisfy PHP with any
combination of parameters, and when I do, Apache won't build. It seems that the information in
ext/gd always pops up, even when I specify another directory.
Additionaly, those of us without X installed run into endless errors because it keeps asking for X11
libs that we chose not to install on our systems.
PHP is awesome... as long as you can get it to install properly!
