Note Submitter: andrea.destefani at gmail dot com ---- A few day ago I update my office's client at work with Apache 2.0.55, PHP 5.1.2 and MySQL 5.0.20. I un-installed old version of Apache and re-installed new version of it. I unzipped zip's php file in c:\programmi\php (after I had delete old php directory). I configured ./Apache Group\Apache2\conf\httpd.conf and php.ini correctly. Finally I re-installed the new version of MySQL. All works fine! Yesterday I must do the same operation on another computer (like a server). I did EXACTLY THE SAME ACTIONS with the same versions of softwares... Apache and PHP works fine, but PHP doesn't load php_mysql.dll extension! I try to check php and apache conf files, my windows' paths, ecc.ecc. NOTHING. ...Of course: c:\programmi\php\libmysql.dll is present and directory is in win path. I'm becoming crazy... !!! In Internet I found the same problem, but other people resolve it only with adjust config files, on path. Today I find where is the problem! :-) I try to start c:\programmi\php.exe and I get an error on msvcr71.dll missing file! On the first client that I had install, this file is present on windows\system32... On the second computer this is present but only in a directory out of win's path! Just copy msvcr71.dll in c:\windows\system32, restart apache and all works file now! :-))) I hope that my note can help somebody. Byez, deste - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - www.destedesign.it
