The expire seems to work differently than I expected. For example, if set to expire in 30 seconds,
it will only expire if the key is NOT requested for 30 seconds. Meaning if you call it repeatedly,
it will "never" expire.
Setting the expire to something like (time() + 30) works the exact same way.
