I was wondering how can I preserver HTML comments
I ended with this simpel trick
$html = str_replace('<!--','<TEMP>',$html[0]);
$html = str_replace('-->','</TEMP>',$html);
$html = strip_tags($html,"<div>,<span>,<style>,<TEMP>");
$html = str_replace('<TEMP>','<!--',$html);
$html = str_replace('</TEMP>','-->',$html);
