Addendum to my previous note: apparently there was some sort of character encoding breakage; PHP does not pad if no padding is needed, and the extra padding I saw was the result of chr(X) returning multiple bytes or something. The pad/unpad functions I gave are still binary-safe, though, and are to the best of my knowledge completely compatible with NIST 800-38a. ---- Server IP: 64.71.164.2 Probable Submitter: 69.205.153.76 ---- X-Spam-Status: No, hits=3.1 required=5.0 tests=DATE_MISSING,FROM_NO_LOWER autolearn=no version=2.64 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.mcrypt-generic.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/note/edit/68085 Del: integrated -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/68085/integrated Del: useless -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/68085/useless Del: bad code -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/68085/bad+code Del: spam -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/68085/spam Del: non-english -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/68085/non-english Del: in docs -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/68085/in+docs Del: other reasons-- http://master.php.net/note/delete/68085 Reject -- http://master.php.net/note/reject/68085 Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
