Note Submitter: kesh_6_7 at yahoo dot co dot in ---- Hi I am using a php application where when the user clicks a html button on a page, it should automatically open command prompt or run local system commands{either Linux/Windows} What i have done is , i have used WSH and Activex commands in Javascript to call cmd.exe and as soon as i press that button on the web page it automatically opens command prompt. but this is browser dependant and incompatible with other browsers. I also need to use the same code in my application when it is run on linux or unix os. So i need a way to open a shell or a command prompt in Linux and Windows from php . I am also sending parameters to the command prompt. Can you tell me if there is any other solution or possible method to this , Any help greatly invited Thanks for help in Advance Stranger
