For the german folks who simply wish to send an e-mail with an arbitrary charset, I have written a
script that automatically base64-encodes the message-body and header-field-bodies according to RFC
2045 and RFC 2047. You can find it at http://www.internalscripts.de/mail-drudge/ .
The script is licensed under the GNU LGPL.
