Yes, by all means put it in an include if you need the function. You may even use auto_prepend_file
directive if you so wish, although IMHO it is more maintainable to just include it directly (and not
have to keep track of settings elsewhere) [see http://www.zend.com/zend/spotlight/prepend.php]
