If you connect to a Server in a way like you do with telnet or some similar protokoll you may have problems with sending data to the server. I found out that at some servers there is a different between: <?php socket_write ($my_socket, $line, strlen ($line)); socket_write ($my_socket, "\r\n", strlen ("\r\n")); ?> witch worked at least, and <?php socket_write ($my_socket, $line."\r\n", strlen ($line."\r\n")); ?> wich made the server stop sending any data. I hope this helps to save a lot of time. I needed about two days to find out, that this was the problem ;) ---- Server IP: 217.13.201.10 Probable Submitter: 84.130.53.128 ---- X-Spam-Status: No, hits=3.1 required=5.0 tests=DATE_MISSING,FROM_NO_LOWER autolearn=no version=2.64 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.socket-write.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/69114 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/69114/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/69114/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/69114/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/69114/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/69114/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/69114/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/69114 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/69114 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
