Installation with Windows 98 and Apache: I added my PHP directory to the PATH but still got the
error message in the Apache error log:
PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library
'd:\\\\php\\\\ext\\\\php_mysql.dll' - A device attached to the system is not
functioning.\\r\\n in Unknown on line 0
This version of Windows does not seem to use the PATH for DLLs, but looks in the directory where the
original executable (apache.exe) lives, as well as the central DLL location, which is
C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM on Windows 98. I copied libmysql.dll to Apache's bin directory as a
compromise workround. (Windows 98, Apache/2.0.54 (Win32) PHP/5.1.6)
