Note that you that the iterator parameter doesn't need to be of type Aggregate. As the spl documentation on http://www.php.net/~helly/php/ext/spl/ defines it in the following way: iterator_count (Traversable $it). So you can count the number of files in a given directory quite easily: <?php iterator_count(new DirectoryIterator('path/to/dir/')); ?> ---- Server IP: 66.163.161.117 Probable Submitter: 212.45.32.220 (proxied: 83.247.70.113) ---- X-Spam-Status: No, hits=3.1 required=5.0 tests=DATE_MISSING,FROM_NO_LOWER autolearn=no version=2.64 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.iterator-count.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/69314 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/69314/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/69314/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/69314/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/69314/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/69314/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/69314/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/69314 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/69314 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
