For a section labeling itself the basics, it seems to me that some rather basic information is
lacking. For instance, how to declare member variables. As far as I can make out, you can declare
member variables (aka properties in various other languages) in the following ways:
class someClass {
private $myProp1 = 'someValue1';
public $myProp2 = 'someValue2';
protected $myProp3 = 'someValue3';
var $myProp4 = 'someValue4';
//...rest of someClass
}
Perhaps someone else has the necessary knowledge to explain the differences: I'm still looking.
