While you're right on the point that I left out a 'sometimes' from my sentence, I
don't agree with you: the working of the function in my opinion is incorrect .
Last day of the month -1 month is definitely not the first day of the same month: its the last day
of the previous month. That is for most people (eg anybody I've asked so far).
So it's misleading for most people - while it may sound right for you.
