I just moved from sendmail to qmail and it took ages to work out why the formatting was wrong. It
looks like it is because imap_8bit puts a carriage-return-linefeed combination at the end of each
line. The solution is to do something like:
$HTMLmessage=str_replace("=\r\n", "=\n", imap_8bit($HTMLmessage));
I don't know if this will still work with sendmail?
