I'm working with a network, trying to get a client computer to access a text file on the server
(the network uses Novell software). The server's /programs directory is mapped to P: in the
server and when I go to P:/EXT.TXT in Internet Explorer, it opens the file, but when I use fopen()
it doesn't open the file. I know for a fact that my script is functional because when I change
the fopen() arguments to point to a local file, it works correctly.
<?php
$dirpath = "P:\EXT.TXT";
$fh = fopen($dirpath,"rt");
$fdata = fread($fh,filesize($dirpath));
echo($fdata);
fclose($fh);
?>
