Wes Peters' note is no longer true in PHP 5.2. Now, ctype_space returns false for the empty
string (which I think is the proper result anyway).

$foo = '';
var_dump(ctype_space($foo));
// false
?>
According the notes on bug #30945, the change likely came in PHP 5.1, but I haven't tested it.
