On Windows XP I'v had a problem parsing a perfectly valid XML string. After a while I found
out that changing the encoding atribute <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UFT-8"
?> to <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> (lowercase) fixed the
problem. (That was after a tried everything else of cource.)
