pitty, there is no function to do the same with numbers and spaces
I offer this function
isSpaceAndNumeric( $testStr )
{
return ereg_match( $testStr, "/^"."\A[\d\s]++"."/i" );
}
explanation:
this function start scanning from string begining, then mathes all digit and space characters from 1
to any number of occurence times.
