----
The Apache's PHP Imap module crashes when running in a chroot, and /etc/passwd isn't
present (relative to the chroot).
It is enough to have the UID's line Apache is running with present in the passwd file (the
shadow file isn't required).
Symptoms:
Calling this function results in a SEGFAULT.
In your syslog (if it was properly set up for the chroot) you can see lines like these:
Mar 19 01:07:13 * *: imap-login: Login: user=<*>, method=PLAIN, rip=127.0.0.1, lip=127.0.0.1,
secured
Mar 19 01:07:13 * apache2[24918]: IMAP toolkit crash: Unable to look up user name
Mar 19 01:07:13 *: IMAP(*): Disconnected
Remark:
In particular this causes failure of login attemptf in HORDE3+IMP4.
