I succed to have session_start(); in an include file on UTF-8 by creating the include file directly
in SSH with the server.
With PuTTY, it is needed to specify the standard UTF-8 in Window-Translation section. Next you just
need to create a file :
<?php
// session_start.inc.php
session_start();
?>
To call it, at the beggining of your main page :
<?php
include("session_start.inc.php");
...
?>
This tip works perfectelly with main pages uploaded with FTP (FTP in SSH, I didn't try in
Telnet).
Very usefull for those like me that are not able to change the charset on the server.
Hope that helps. Good Luck.
