Are you sure? I find that the documentation is correct, and
image_type_to_mime_type() will return only
"image/jpeg"
for a jpeg, using getimagesize().
But in Internet Explorer, after a file upload,
$_FILES['foo']['type'] can be
"image/pjpeg"
That is what I am seeing.
