due to problems i had with german date format and php versions below 5.1 i wrote a little function
to get the correct unix timestamp for the date.
nothing special but very helpful :)
function datum2Unixtime( $strDatum )
{
$tempValue = split( "\." , $strDatum );
$retValue = mktime( 0 , 0 , 0 , $tempValue[1] , $tempValue[0] , $tempValue[2] );
return $retValue;
}
