----
Configuring some of our development machines for php5 I made an little but stupid mistake.
I wanted our development hosts to display all errors using an conf or .htaccess file by the use of
this values:
php_flag display_errors on
php_flag display_startup_errors on
wrong:
php_value error_reporting "E_ALL"
or
php_value error_reporting E_ALL
But I didn't realize that the php constants can not be visible for the apache process so the
errors were not diplayed.
right:
php_value error_reporting 2047
So, one place you must and should use the numerical representation of one of the error level
constants is in your apache conf or .htaccess files
