Beware, the FILTER_SANITIZE_STRING flag functions much like strip_tags, so < will get filtered from input regardless of it's actually part of a tag. We were getting unexepected results with a graphic library we wrote when trying to print < on a dynamic button. The url came in something like ?string=%3C (<) but after filter ran it was empty. To get around this, you could use FILTER_UNSAFE_RAW on that one param. ---- Server IP: 69.147.83.197 Probable Submitter: 208.71.40.10 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.filter.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/75011 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/75011/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/75011/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/75011/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/75011/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/75011/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/75011/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/75011 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/75011 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
