Why was Informix support even removed? Having to move an existing code base over to the PDO
extension is nothing short of hell for enterprises that use PHP and Informix extensively.
The documentation surrounding this decision seems pretty much non-existent, and further
documentation detailing how to effectively use the PDO_Informix extension seems to share the same
fate.
