note 75260 rejected from install.windows.extensions by tularis

Note Submitter: vimbrij at gmail dot com ---- I am a PHP/MySQL/Apache newbie. I installed them and have tested them individually (the latest versions - PHP 5.x, MySQL 5.x and Apache 2.2). I am still running into issues. I have a simple database that I can see in mysql using the Windows command line. When I tried to connect to it using mysql_connect in php, I got the same error as someone already talked about. I got the php_mysql extensions and appropriately positioned libmysql.dll and retried. Now I get the following error: mysql_connect: Can't create TCP/IP socket (10050) at line xx I saw this error message on google but couldn't get to the pages when I tried. This is driving me nuts! Oh, btw, I'm on Vista.
